Hotel

All scientific sessions, exhibit show, posters and sleeping rooms will be within the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel. The Sheraton is pleased to offer all ACA meeting participants FREE in-room internet. 

We are able to offer the special discounted room rates due to a commitment to contract for a minimum number of sleeping rooms at this hotel. If we do not fill these blocks, financial penalties will be incurred. This ultimately impacts the health of the ACA.  Staying at the conference hotel also helps keep future registration fees lower. 

Rates are $159 per room, per night, plus taxes. Rooms for students or postdocs are $129 per room, per night, plus taxes. Upgrade to a Club Level room for $179 per night, plus taxes and receive the following amenities: complimentary continental breakfast for two in the Club Lounge, complimentary access to the fitness facility, free local and long distance phone calls, and a Club Level room located on the 42nd floor and above. Additional guest in Club level room, add $25.00 per night plus tax.

You must register as a meeting participant with the ACA to be allowed to reserve a student hotel room. The block of rooms will be held until Thursday, April 28, 2011,  MAY 4, at which time the unused portion of room block will be released for general sale. The Sheraton will continue to accept reservations after this date depending upon availability and rate.

Room Sharing

Room sharing is an option for those looking to save money on their hotel accommodations.  This service is strictly for facilitating contact between roommates and does not guarantee availability. Once contact is made, attendees will still need to reserve a room directly with the hotel.  If you wish to be listed as wanting to share a room, please send an email containing your name, institute, email address and gender.  Once you have found a roommate, please contact us again to let us know, and we will remove your name from the listing.
