Abstracts from Non-Members
Nonmembers submitting an abstract must also include the registration form and payment at the time of submission. Abstracts may be submitted electronically and registration may be completed online, by faxing the registration form with payment information to (716) 898-8695, or e-mailed as an attachment to the ACA Office. Any abstract received without registration will not be processed until the fee is received.
Preparation of Abstracts
You will be able to submit your abstract details (title and body) by uploading a word file. This will allow you to easily format and use special characters in Microsoft Word in your abstract. In order for us to process this correctly into a PDF, you must adhere to the template outline of the sample file provided below. Click here to see sample abstract.
The entire abstract, including title, authors and their affiliations, footnotes, references, tables, equations, etc., should be a maximum of 2000 characters (including spaces) using Arial font with 10 point size. Abstracts not conforming to these instructions will be returned to the author for correction will have to be resubmitted before the deadline. Late fees will apply to these revisions. The title should be in upper and lower case letters and should contain no more than 150 characters (including spaces). The authors' names and affiliations should be in upper and lower case.
Authors The presenting author must be listed first. No one may be first author on more than one abstract.
Invited Presentations Abstracts for invited presentations must be submitted in the same manner as those for contributed papers and are subject to the same applicable abstract fees and deadlines.
Abstracts will be posted to the ACA web site only if the presenting author's permission is given with the abstract submission.
Presenting authors will be notified of their final abstract number, session name, date, time, and room assignment approximately 4 weeks prior to the meeting. This information will also be posted on the web site.

Late Abstracts There will be a $150 late fee for abstracts received after March 31, 2012. This rule will apply to ACA members, nonmembers, invited and contributed abstracts.
40% of all talks will come from contributed abstracts.
Each session room will be equipped with a projector and a laptop PC running Windows and Microsoft PowerPoint. Presenters may bring their PowerPoint presentation on CD or memory stick, or may bring their own laptop to plug into an electronic video switch. If you plan on connecting a Mac, be sure to bring the proper cord. Please arrive at your session room 30 minutes before the session begins to connect computers and/or copy files to the available laptop.
The allotted size for each poster will be 4' x 4'. There will be three evening poster sessions; Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Push pins will be provided. Authors will be assigned dates and times to be present at their board. This notification will be sent by email and posted to the meeting website.

Program Booklet & CD
Titles and authors of submitted abstracts will appear in the Program
Booklet. Full abstracts will only be available on CD at the meeting.
Speaker Ready Room
The ACA will provide a separate room for speakers to review their talk and confirm that their presentation projects correctly. This room will be equipped with a laptop PC running windows and PowerPoint and a projector. It is mandatory that speakers review their materials the day before the presentation.
