The ACA is saddened to learn of the passing of Victor W. Day, Ph.D., on June 18, 2026, at the age of 82.

Dr. Day was a respected crystallographer whose career was dedicated to advancing structural chemistry and mentoring generations of scientists. His work and contributions to the crystallographic community left a lasting impact, and he will be remembered by colleagues and friends for both his scientific accomplishments and his generosity as a mentor.

We extend our sincere condolences to Dr. Day's family, friends, former students, and colleagues during this difficult time.
