Structural Science Library
Welcome to the ACA video library! The principal aim of this is to develop a better awareness within the general scientific community towards crystallography, and crystallographic data dissemination. The following is a collection of resources including specific content created by ACA members for anyone interested in science and crystallography.

Structure in Literature
AUTHOR/SOURCE: Carla Sledbonick ACCESS: Open / ACA Production DATE ADDED: March 30, 2021
KEY WORDS: TBA
DESCRIPTION: This series of 3 short lectures is intended to help scientists understand what a crystal represents and the 3 pieces of information needed to describe a crystal structure: (1) unit cell, (2) space group symmetry, and (3) fractional coordinates of the atoms. The information is related back to the Crystal Data Table that is often published with crystal structures. The lectures are divided as follows:
Part 1: “What is a crystal?” and Unit Cell
Part 2: Crystal Symmetry (i.e. Space Group)
Part 3: Fractional Coordinates
