| Canadian Representative to CouncilElection Home | Council | Committees | National Divisions | SIGs Election to the position of Canadian Representative is a significant opportunity to help shape the direction of the American Crystallographic Association (ACA) while representing the interests of the Canadian crystallographic community. This three-year leadership role on the ACA Council serves as a vital link between the ACA, the Canadian National Committee (CNC) for the IUCr, and the ACA’s Canadian Division. The Canadian Representative ensures that the Canadian perspective is well represented in Council discussions, fosters collaboration between national and international bodies, and supports communication and engagement within the Canadian crystallographic community. This role also contributes to ACA publications and assists in identifying future meeting sites in Canada, helping to strengthen the ACA’s connection to its Canadian members and the global crystallography community. 
 
 Role & ResponsibilitiesElection to the office of Canadian Representative represents a three-year leadership commitment on the ACA Council. The specific responsibilities are outlined below: The ACA is a Regional Associate of the IUCr. The Canadian Division is a National Division of the ACA. The Canadian Representative is an elected member of ACA Council, an ex officio member of the Canadian National Committee (CNC) for the IUCr and an ex officio member of the Canadian Division Executive. The CNC deals with matters pertaining to Canada’s participation in the IUCr. Main duties of the Canadian Representative:
